Mission Statement

Cyber Sabbath's goal is to begin to mend the division between Christ and the world (society) that Church has created through reflections, sermons and devotionals

Cyber Sabbath is a place for the stifled Christian voice to be heard. Media gives way to much time to the extremist - over looking the theologically educated and/or the moderates in favor of what sells their view point. Here, politics aside, a pastor reflects on God's voice in every day life.

Finding a church home

I have realized throughout my years that finding a church home can not only be challenging but can be overwhelming, exhaustive, and hopeless. For this, I thought I would write a few things that may help:

1. The website doesn't not always reflect the church and a really bad webpage could be hiding an amazing church :)

2. Please DON'T give up! I know it can be challenging but there is a place out there where your beliefs will be honored, cherished, uplifted and perhaps even seconded!

3. The words "warm and welcoming" often refer to a hope, a desire, to be but not truly the reality. Most truly "warm and welcoming" congregations don't advertise themselves as such.

4. The Nursery says a lot!

5. Not everyone has the same beliefs - each church is always full of diversity...so don't worry if you disagreed with something...a good pastor will honor that and maybe even expect that not everything preached will be liked

6. DON'T give up - there is a place you belong!

7. You can leave a service you truly don't enjoy. NO ONE will be offended.

8.The "church" is not about the pastor - so don't just go or join because the sermons are good!

9. Don't give up!

10. If you really disliked the church or really felt like they didn't advertise their image well (in either direction) an email would be nice!

11. Don't be surprised if a pastor comes to visit you, wants to set up an appointment to see you or tries to call you - this is normal!

12. When there is a * next to something it means STAND UP...half the time the regular Sunday goers don't know weather to stand or sit either (you are not alone)

13. Don't Give UP!

14. Join a Bible Study - you don't have to have any answers and you don't have to attend that church to go to the Bible Study!!

15. Don't Give UP!
