Mission Statement

Cyber Sabbath's goal is to begin to mend the division between Christ and the world (society) that Church has created through reflections, sermons and devotionals

Cyber Sabbath is a place for the stifled Christian voice to be heard. Media gives way to much time to the extremist - over looking the theologically educated and/or the moderates in favor of what sells their view point. Here, politics aside, a pastor reflects on God's voice in every day life.

God's Light

Is it God's light or the world's light ruling your life?  Is God's light out shining the distraction of the worlds or have we allow the false light of the world to pave our way?

Blue light, green light
yellow light, orange light
real light, false light
which will it be?

Your light, my light
God's light, world's light
real light, false light
which will it be?

gold light, no light
Christ's light, sinful light
real light, false light
which light will it be?

God's Light Shines

The light of God is more then just the physical light in the world but is the light of knowledge that a relationship with God invites.  Think about the light you let shine.

Light shines bright
Shines from within
From God's light
God comes into the world
Come light of God
Light shines bright

Communion and baptism are celebrated moments in the church and we call them sacraments.  Why? because during these moments either through water or the elements we are brought together with God in a real way. Yes there are other ways to connect with God but at these times we truly feel God's presence.  Join me in the Words heard at the Super Table.

Welcome the Holy Presence
Into your intentional moments
No matter the state of your presence
This is Jesus' atonement
You are welcome to this table

Sprinkled with water
Emerged in the spring
Or never knowing water
but longing for what it brings
You are welcome to the font

encounter God

Two things that are important to our relationship with God, any relationship for that matter, are accountability and intention.  We are held to both of these in the sacraments of the church.  Think about where and how you meet God.

In the garden flowers bloom
and weeds roam
The gardener can with care
allow the flowers to bear
The weeds grow fast
for that's what they do best
The gardener can create life
without a lot of strife.
